Track 1 Prelude narrator:
Once upon a time, in the half light between night and day, between shadow and light, a wise elder dreamed a tale of a strange, yet familiar land, drifting into sleep and out into the world…..
1 Prelude Musical descriptionAs the story begins the music is quite as night, but mysterious and dissonant it moves restless into different keys finally as we drift off into a new land it changes, ending with clear sounds of the horns in C major, the key of nature...dawn in a new land. Already you can hear the beginning of the One Song played first in the Woodwinds. The falling minor third( the first 2 notes you hear in the winds) is a universal symbol, it is a calling song or motive. |
