In order to pass through the mountains the students must select the final note of the song on a musical staff. ( Putting the rock through the correct hole in the school version of the show) There are 3 answers; one note is too high one is too low and one is correct.

The Tasks PDF Print E-mail

In the school show version of the One Song the students must complete tasks assigned to them by the elder in order to move on to the next part of the story.

Students that have listened to the piece sufficiently should be able to complete them depending on their previous exposure to music. Here are some activities you can do to help them.

How it works: If the students answer correctly they get to join the travelers as they march on to find the song. If they answer incorrectly they are buried in the cold earth by the forces of chaos.

A limited number of percussion instruments are available for students to play along with. To make more of the students experience have them make their own instruments.
