Welcome to the world of the One Song
Available orchestrations
This site features the community orchestra version of the One Song. This version has significant doubling of parts to accommodate amateur string players. A second orchestration for fully professional orchestras is also available.

Parts

Here are the parts for all instruments. They are in PDF format. Updated or additional parts including transpositions will be posted here as available.

If you have already picked up a part from the PGSO this is an updated one. As I post these I am also making and binding a hard copy that you can pick up from the PGSO office.

Technical

Technical requirments

  • A space larges enough for all the students and 11-15 performers. eg. School Gym or hall or library if the school is small..
  • A temperature of 22c so the instruments work and don't break.
  • Chairs for the performers (best if the chairs are relatively straight and without arms)
  • Small table for props
  • Access to an electrical outlet.

As you can see our technical requirements are not extensive. We bring our own stands.

Typically the students sit on the floor or on benches. They can be quite close to the performers but we need enough space for the pit of doom and for the tasks to be carried out. A 10 ft space seems to work ok.
